Keyword marketers attention please!

18 Jun 2012

Do you think you know - based on the statistics of the various affiliate networks - when the best SEA moments are? And do you base those numbers on the displayed e-CPC? If the answer is yes, we have some good news for you! From now on you are able to determine far easier and better your most profitable SEA moments, using the new statistics in the Daisycon interface.

The new publisher interface provides several advantages and new insights to achieve better conversions for each publisher. This case is specified on keyword marketing.

For a keyword marketer it is particularly important to know when you should promote an affiliate program. On which day or hours is it most profitable to buy certain keywords and for what price? Daisycon's latest statistics show exactly at what time, which days and which price your keywords are most profitable. This case shows two filter options, which you can choose in all statistics surveys.

1) Standard view

The table shows the e-CPC statistics per day of the week. These statistics are shown for a longer period of time so no conclusions are drawn based on outliers. These statistics are displayed in the standard view, which you can use at all times. In this view the transactions are shown at the day the transaction is made.

Actions as a result

The keyword marketer will reduce his budget for the Saturday, because of the disappointing e-CPC. On the opposite side, for days as Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday he should have more budget available as the e-CPC significantly has a higher score on these days.

2) Transaction converted to date of click

In the survey "Transaction converted to date of click" you can see when your promotion budget actually started to make money. The transactions are displayed on the day of the week that the click for the corresponding transaction is made.

Why this is better

If you look at the time when clicks are made which emerge ultimately to a transaction, the keyword marketer would buy less keywords for Wednesday and Friday or offer a lower price. As you can see Saturday does not score badly, but apparently the transaction has been made on a later day and people only 'look' on Saturday. In this case you would offer les on Friday and more on Saturday.

If you compare the figures you see how big the difference can be; on Saturday the actual e-CPC is 38% higher than expected and on Friday the e-CPC is 29% lower than expected. These insights make the difference between profit or loss upon your keyword purchases.
