Essent is an energy company that supplies gas, electricity, heat and energy services to consumers and companies, both in the Netherlands and Belgium. They produce a large part of the energy that Essent supplies themselves.

Essent is the largest in the Netherlands in the production of renewable energy. Essent has 2,870 employees. Essent also has an annual turnover of 3.7 billion euros (2016).
