ZVAB (DE) affiliate program
"The experience to search desperately and often also in vain for out-of-print books makes probably everyone once. We didn't want to resign ourselves to this", says Bernd Heinisch, co-founder of the ZVAB. In 1996, he joined forces with Friedemann Kutschbach and Jens Bauersachs to create an Internet platform that links antiquarian bookshops and end customers. The idea of creating an online database that would bring only commercial second-hand bookshops and end customers into contact with each other and thus simplify the search for antiquarian, used and out-of-print books was new territory in the German-speaking world at that time.
The database offers mainly German and English books, but also sheet music, maps or graphics, securities, records or audio books. Customers can conveniently search, compare and order the offers of the member antiquarian bookshops online according to various criteria such as author, title, publisher or ISBN.
